Essence Fest went all out for its 30th anniversary, delivering an unforgettable experience with star-studded performances and unique activations. As always, the festival attracted attendees from all over, and celebrities showed up in style.
A standout moment was an iconic group photo celebrating Black excellence, featuring Regina King, Sanaa Lathan, Tabitha Brown, Garcelle Beauvais, and Marsai Martin at the Target Ladies Brunch. King stunned in a blue and white button-up dress by Generation Love, while Lathan chose a chic denim maxi dress from Karina Grimaldi. Brown and Beauvais embraced vibrant citrus tones in orange ensembles from Farm Rio and Mango, while Martin turned heads in a colorful printed dress by Area.
On stage, singer Ari Lennox rocked a denim LaQuan Smith outfit, styled by Jeremy Haynes. Her rose gold ‘Giuseppe Zanotti X Mary J. Blige’ boots and fishnet stockings added the perfect touch of drama to her performance look.
KeKe Palmer, fresh off an incredible BET Awards tribute to Usher, dazzled in a black Balmain asymmetrical dress adorned with 3D floral embellishments at the neckline. Meanwhile, Victoria Monét took a different approach, opting for an edgy leather biker short set. Her maroon beaded Seks top stood out beautifully against her quilted leather jacket.
SWV brought the sparkle, performing in custom Anthony Lattimore outfits styled by J. Bolin. Their futuristic looks added extra flair to their set, making them shine even brighter on stage.
Celebrities truly brought their fashion A-game to Essence Fest, showcasing individuality and bold style choices. The variety of looks made for a visually stunning celebration of creativity and self-expression.
