The discussion about counterfeit products continues, and this time, Bluefly, a well-known online designer outlet, is at the center of it. There’s been a lot of online buzz about the possibility of Bluefly selling fake handbags, particularly Balenciaga, and even some speculation about counterfeit Tommy Hilfiger bags. Though, considering how affordable Tommy Hilfiger handbags are at discount stores, it’s hard to imagine why anyone would bother making fakes.
Personally, I’ve shopped at Bluefly before, and everything I bought was authentic. However, when rumors start circulating, there’s often some truth behind them. I reached out to Bluefly for a response, but I never received one.
At some point, Bluefly did address concerns about authenticity on its website. I had a link to their statement, but it has since disappeared. The closest thing available now is a statement about preowned goods.
