Halloween is just around the corner, and while you’ve probably already planned your costume, have you thought about your nails? Sure, classic orange or black is always a safe bet, but why not take it up a notch with some fun, spooky designs?
Today, we’re creating a Halloween-inspired manicure featuring hanging spiders and eerie glowing eyes. You’ll only need three nail polish colors, a dotting tool (or a simple alternative), and a small brush. The final look is a perfect mix of cute and creepy, and the best part? It’s super easy to do!
### Step 1: Prep and Paint
A great manicure starts with a solid base. Begin by filing your nails to an even length, then apply cuticle oil—olive oil works too! Wash it off, apply a base coat, and then paint all your nails (except your ring fingers) with orange polish. For the ring fingers, use black polish.
### Step 2: Add the Dots
On each orange nail, place a black dot near the bottom center. For the accent nails, add two sets of white dots. If you don’t have a dotting tool, a straight pin, paintbrush, or bobby pin will work just fine.
### Step 3: Draw the Web
Using a thin brush or a nail polish striper, draw a straight black line from the top of each orange nail down to the black dot. This will serve as the spider’s web.
### Step 4: Create the Spider Legs
On either side of each black dot, draw three short lines to form the spider’s legs. A small brush, nail pen, or striper will help with precision.
### Step 5: Add the Eyes
For the finishing touch, add two tiny white dots on each spider to create eyes. On the accent nails, place small black dots inside the white ones to complete the glowing eye effect. If you need an ultra-fine tool, the tip of an old pen works great.
Once everything is dry, seal your design with a top coat to keep your spooky manicure looking fresh. And there you have it—festive, fun, and easy Halloween nails!
