Budget-Friendly Detox: A Simple Cleanse You Can Do Yourself

If cutting carbs, eating more veggies, and working out daily isn’t giving you the results you want, a cleanse might be the reset you need. But instead of spending a fortune on store-bought juices, you can make your own at home without breaking the bank. Here’s how:

### Step 1: Plan and Shop
Decide how many days you want to cleanse—starting with three or four is a good idea. Check out the juice recipes below, make a shopping list, review it twice, and then head to the store.

### Step 2: The Juices

**Greens Juice (Makes 3 bottles, enough for 1 day)**
– 3 cups kale
– 3 cups spinach
– 3 kiwis (peeled)
– 3 green apples
– 3 bananas

Juice everything except the bananas. Blend the bananas separately and mix them into the juice. Divide into bottles and refrigerate.

**Beet-Apple-Carrot Juice (Makes 1 bottle, drink once per day)**
– 1 beet (washed and peeled)
– 1 carrot (peeled)
– 2 red apples
– 1.5 tablespoons ginger

Juice all ingredients, pour into a bottle, and refrigerate.

**Spicy Lemon Cleanse (Makes 1 bottle, drink once per day)**
– Juice of 1 lemon
– 1 teaspoon honey
– Pinch of cayenne pepper

Mix everything in a water bottle, fill with water, and refrigerate.

**Cashew Shake (Makes 1 bottle, drink once per day)**
– 1 cup cashews (soaked for 2 hours)
– 1 banana
– 1 cup water
– Pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg (or any other preferred spices)

Blend everything until smooth and enjoy.

### Step 3: Commit and Start
Pick a start date, make a promise to yourself, and stick to it. While there are plenty of juice recipes out there, these are some of the most common and effective ones. Plus, making them at home will cost far less than buying pre-made juices. Stay healthy, be smart, and feel great!
